A new generation carbon monoxide detector for continuous air monitoring for the presence of carbon monoxide with breakthrough CO detection powered by an integrated lithium battery (built-in, non-replaceable) guaranteeing an exceptionally long device operation of more than 10 years, with an extended 10-year warranty. SAFE 10YDCO – PRO is a carbon monoxide detector that boasts a timeless compact design combining the latest hardware and software technologies applied to the functional construction of an intelligent detector, representing a new level of standard in residential building fire safety.

Unique Second-Generation Electrochemical Sensor Technology

The second-generation electrochemical sensor with de-ionized water electrolyte contains no ions that could affect measurement accuracy or cause unwanted side reactions. As a result, the sensor of the SAFE 10YDCO – PRO detector provides reliable and accurate data on the concentration of carbon monoxide in the monitored area, while representing a device with stable performance and a long service life. The second-generation sensor of the SAFE 10YDCO – PRO detector was designed to detect the presence of CO immediately as the gas enters the sensor chamber. The chamber construction with a direct link to the AI SAFE microprocessor then offers the most reliable detection method with the ability to distinguish false stimuli, and in combination with a predictive algorithm, enables measurement of gas concentration directly in the air in real time.

Responding only to Real Threats

In residential building toxic gas detection systems, the priority is to inform people in a timely manner about an imminent real danger. The AI SAFE microprocessor was developed based on a detailed analysis of the properties of carbon monoxide and works with a predictive algorithm that analyzes data in relation to the current CO level in the monitored area, compares data from the electrochemical sensor and filters the potential possibility of false alarms in real time, in order to ensure an immediate response to the approaching danger of this silent killer.

Alarm Signaling of Potentially Dangerous Carbon Monoxide Levels

If the CO concentration reaches a certain set threshold during detection, the detector activates a loud acoustic alarm signal of 85 dB, accompanied by a flashing red LED indicator signaling a carbon monoxide alarm, while the currently measured CO concentration will be displayed on the blue backlit display of the detector. This is a targeted effort to gain the attention of people in the building through high noise levels and intense LED signaling that a potential danger is arising in some part of the premises. The purpose of the CO alarm is then an immediate response to the alarm event or the movement of people from the scene of the emergency to a safe zone.

Environmental Display Function

The backlit multifunctional LCD display shows the currently measured CO concentration expressed in ppm units in alarm mode, while in standby mode it alternately displays the current ambient temperature and humidity information in the monitored area, enabling a response to dangerously low or conversely high humidity or temperature environmental conditions. The temperature level display can be set based on preferences in degrees Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F).

Unique Device Construction with IZOVAX Protection

The combination of battery power and the detector housing construction allows installation by placing the device in an optimal position on a horizontal surface. As a result, a fixed wall installation of the carbon monoxide detector is not required, but it can be variably and freely placed (stood) on horizontal surfaces such as shelves, bedside tables, window sills or other flat surfaces. The electronic components and the printed circuit board of the detector are coated with an insulating and protective lacquer layer with IZOVAX nanoparticles protecting the device electronics even in very humid environments. The device can therefore be placed or installed, for example, in bathrooms with a water heater, gas boiler, boiler rooms, drying rooms and the like.

Highest Value Memory

The SAFE 10YDCO – PRO carbon monoxide detector features a peak value memory function. The memory records information about the highest measured CO concentration even during your absence. By pressing the combined TEST/SILENCE button, you can retrieve and display this information on the LCD display, relating to the highest measured value levels since the last memory reset.

Temporary Alarm Silence Function

If the detector registers a threshold level of carbon monoxide concentration, it will trigger a warning signal to activate the alarm. In the event of an unwanted acoustic alarm signal, it can be temporarily silenced by pressing the TEST/SILENCE button for up to 9 minutes. The temporary silence mode is indicated by the device via a red LED indicator, which flashes 4 times every 5 seconds in a regularly repeating interval without any accompanying acoustic buzzer signal. If the CO concentration subsequently drops below the pre-set values, the detector automatically returns to normal operating mode.

Guaranteed Operational Performance for an Entire Decade

Power is provided by an integrated 3V lithium battery (built-in, non-replaceable) guaranteeing an exceptionally long detector operation of more than 10 years. Battery operation enables quick and easy installation and ensures proper functioning of the carbon monoxide detector for more than 10 years from activation. The battery is activated by pulling out the blocking clip on the back of the device. After 10 years of protection, with a 30-day advance notice, the detector will announce the end of its service life and automatically alert you that it needs to be replaced. The extended 10-year warranty covers both the battery and the device itself.
